The beginning.....
10 years ago Danny was a transport manager for a logistics company in the north of England. Having already spent years in the industry doing various roles such as senior courier, telematics installation, managing workshops and fleet admin this felt like the role he had earned and deserved.
There were contracts within Amazon, DHL, UPS, Fedex and DPD. When the pandemic hit the demand for couriers grew. Already managing a sizeable fleet of 250 vans, this then expanded within 2 years to over 700 vans throughout the whole of the U.K.
Under pressure to satisfy its customers the company recruited large amounts of drivers and hired the vans for them to deliver.
Ultimately, the recruitment of so many inexperienced drivers had caused superior damage to the vehicles. Tied in to the loss of contracts due to people returning to work caused the company to fold.
Sat at home, Danny decided he wanted to continue his job but this time it would be for himself. Why not? After all, he had the skills, vehicle management, fuel cards, telematics, contacts.
He started off buying three old Mercedes Sprinters (pictured) and renting them out to a contact who was also just starting out. For the company to grow, Danny still needed to work full time so that every penny those vehicles made could be reinvested.
Just a few years later, Daneside Solutions is a growing company with over 30 vans to hire providing other fantastic vehicle solutions which are truly valued by its clients
